Creative Artworker

An opportunity to join a dynamic, highly collaborative creative agency based in the city of Bath. Known for the realisation of bright ideas in branding, print, digital and video projects, Sparkloop ensures a competitive edge for businesses and brands the world over.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 hours a week with the option to work flexibly.

Annual Salary: c. £26-35,000 per year, depending on experience.

Hybrid Location: Sparkloop in Bath, with the option to work some days/hours from home as appropriate.


Job description

Working with the Creative Director and as an integral part of the close knit design team, you will reap the benefits of working in a small agency with a personal and flexible approach that effectively and reliably delivers across print, animation & digital channels.

Providing input on, print and digital artwork files, proofs, cutters, mock ups and concept visualisations, you will follow designs and artwork from their conception to final sign off on a wide range of projects that surpass the needs and expectations of our established clients as well as new business.

Training and personal development opportunities will be available in areas pertinent to fulfilment of your role.


Skills & Experience

  • Ideally c.5 years experience as a Creative Artworker, working across print, animation and digital channels.

  • You are proactive, energetic, collaborative and passionate about the design and artwork process and the power of an effective brand.

  • You aim high, exceeding client expectations whilst working within realistic boundaries of time and budget.

  • Experience working with high profile clients as well as start-ups.

  • You are focused, technically proficient and precise, with an eye for detail and strong visualisation skills.

  • You enjoy the creative energy and mutual support inherent in working as part of a small team and are able to follow creative direction, if given.

  • You are reliable, efficient and organised; a calm and pragmatic problem solver, and able to work across several projects simultaneously.

  • You produce accurate and consistent work in a range of formats.

  • You possess an excellent working knowledge of the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD and After Effects video editing software).

  • You have a good understanding of Microsoft 365 (PPT, Word, Excel).

  • You have knowledge of basic HTML & CSS along with experience with content management systems.

  • You have an understanding of areas such as photography, film making and studio lighting but not be expected to undertake these yourself.

  • You have an excellent understanding of print processes, strong layout and typographical skills and knowledge of fonts.

  • You are approachable and friendly with clear communication skills (spoken & written English) and confidence to engage with clients, designers and printers.

  • You are independent and proactive in managing your workload, setting and meeting deadlines and supporting other members of the design team to fulfil theirs.

  • You are up to date with the latest design and software trends.

  • You are excited to continually expand your design and IT techniques through collaboration and self-identified learning needs.
